Do you do this? Exercise on an empty Stomach !!!

Most of us are daily runners, or we all just do some exercise to maintain our fitness.

But today while I was on performing my daily morning routines, this question struck in my mind from nowhere

Is it healthy to exercise on an empty stomach?

So I did a small research on this topic and found some convincing results.

Let us start this post without bragging anymore, right?

Below I will discuss it quickly without taking most of your precious time. ( The real reason – I’m lazy I don’t like to write long)

So back to our topic

The main reason behind working out everyday is to burn our extra fat in our body. These fat will effect our appearance and it leads to some major diseases in our body viz Cholesterol,Heart failure and it goes on.

So how do these fats stay in our body.

Here comes the science part.

Fats ( also known as triglycerides) are acquired through consuming food items. At that time our intelligent human body breaks down its complex structure and it is allowed to pass through our blood stream.

This is where the real purpose of fats take place.

Fats are mainly used by our body to create energy to sustain in hunger state. It is a necessary factor for survival. That’s why most of us able to stay alive and active for some hours without having food.

In the bloodstream most of the fats are utilised but at all times we consume more than we want(Over eating and inactive lifestyle). In these cases body starts to store the fat for later use. Like I said above. If these stored fats increases exponentially we will have to face some diseases later on.

In order to mitigate these cases we all are doing workouts everyday.

So what happens when we workout on an empty stomach.

Imagine you are running as usual without taking any food. So our body starts to sweat and struggle to get more energy for you to run.

So if you haven’t any food body depends upon the stored fat in glycogen, breaks down it to glucose to regain your strength to continue workout for an hour or more. In the case if you had a little food just before getting out of your home, body depends upon the fat flowing through our bloodstream rather than stored fats.

As a result normally burning of fats reduce here.

Conclusion

Image from Unsplash

Yeah it is better to perform workouts without having any food in the morning.

We should take a lot of warm water in the morning just after waking up. It has more positive effects in our body( I will explain this in my coming posts). After drinking water do your routine, wear your workout clothes, tie your shoelaces and get out of you house for workout.

AGE OF CHATBOTS

It is always convenient for me to order my coffee via Starbucks My Barista app. I hope you too had a great service from that Chatbot
Idea of my blog comes from there. When I was using the app I realised the Age of Chatbots are here .
Back in the days a marketing revolution was created when business started using apps for their services. The same is happening now with the Chatbots.
Let’s get to know more about them.
In this blog I will discuss
  • What is a Chatbot ?
  • Advantages of using Chatbots.
  • Major stages of Chatbots.
  • Future of Chatbots.
What is a Chatbot?
Chatbots are computer programmed to perform certain tasks with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
We all have encountered with a chatbot during our Internet living.
When you visit a website.
You gets a pop-up saying : Let’s Chat
This is a simple Chatbot.
When we have a business we have customers. Our customers have many queries too. This is where Chatbots comes into role. With the help of latest technology Chatbots solve the problems of the customer and provide a great service.
Advantages of using Chatbots
As the AI is developing day by day our Chatbots are getting Intelligent too.
Using Chatbots provides many benefits to business.
  • Training and Operation costs is relatively lower than Human customer service agents.
  • Chatbots gets more smart when they get access to more data on the customers. Smart Chatbots are able to solve the situation effectively.
  • Autonomous Chatbots can assist customers 24/7.
  • Smart and Intelligent Chatbots can also give service to multiple customers without compromising the quality of service.
Stages of Chatbots
Stage 1 :
Stage One Chatbots just search for the matching phrases in our messages and search in their database inorder to provide matching results.
To hide their lack of knowledge Chatbots use some conversation fillers in between their messages. Developers still use these Chatbots even though they are beginner level.
Stage 2 :
Stage Two Chatbots can perform certain tasks like reservation for dinner or to apply for a new membership in a library.
They have built-in forms to receive necessary information to provide answer.
Stage 3 :
Stage Three Chatbots can search for the content needed to converse with the customer. They have large databases that contain facts required for it. These chatbots can engage with customers in an interactive way.
Stage 4 :
Stage Four Chatbots can store previous conversation of a customer and use them to provide coherent answers or solutions to their problems.
These bots are able to provide great quality of service with the help of analysing stored databases.
Stage 5 :
Stage Five Chatbots are able to solve core problems of the customer. Bots in stages one to four are able to relay information based on the request from them. While stage five bots can provide alternate solutions to their problems with great accuracy.
Stage 6 :
Stage Six are the future Chatbots. They are able to engage with customers in broad and intelligent conversations. They are going to change the whole concept of Customer service. These Chatbots are still in development.
Future of Chatbots
It is anticipated that by 2020, 80% of businesses will incorporate Chatbots.
In the coming days chatbots are expected to recieve major updates.
Some of them are :
  • Chatbots can monitor customers’ language and connect them with a human service agent if there are signs of frustration, complex questions, or opportunities to help customers further.
  • Chatbots are able to connect with customers in their messaging platforms or even social media sites.
  • Chatbots will access more systems and databases to provide precise solutions to customer queries.
  • Chatbots will be merged with Virtual Assistants. Virtual assistant-powered bots are able to recognize problems and opportunities through natural language processing and make judgments about next actions.
Let’s conclude.
By witnessing the quick advancements in AI and technologies that support Chatbots the future where bots running businesses are

Why can’t Humans regrow body parts?

Have you ever wondered why Humans Can’t Regrow their limbs or any other body parts, while we are still able to grow our fingernails.

Humans are considered to be the well developed multicellular organisms, still, we are not able to manage the trick of limb regeneration in lower level organisms.

Starfish, Hydractina, Lizards, Planaria, Salamander are able to regenerate most of their body parts. In fact the Axolotl, a Mexican Salamander can regenerate it’s whole body parts including eyes, limbs and even its spinal cord and brain parts.

So how do these organisms do this?

When a Salamander loses its limb the wound close more rapidly and cells rush to the amputation site.
The group of cells combines together to form Blastema.

So what is a Blastema?

The Blastema is a mass of cells capable of growth and regeneration into an organ or an appendage.
Blastema acts as a bud or root for the new limb, that is why it is also known as Regeneration Bud.
When Blastema grows it eventually forms the shape of its limb. This process can take several months depending on the age of the organism.
Still, they are able to do it.

So why can’t Humans do it?

In the case of Humans, when we lose a limb, the cells around the wound site closes the wound and blood clot forms. This leads to a scar in the place where the limb was.

But we have the ability to regenerate in our foetal stage. Humans grow each body parts from an embryo.

How do we do that?

It’s because of the help of stem cells.
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells which have the ability to grow into any type of cell or tissue
But most mammals lose their stem cells as we grow up. Some animals like Hydractina and Planaria use this pluripotent stem cells to regenerate themselves

Researchers are still finding a way to use the ability of out stem cells in our adulthood

In general, Humans have to stick with awesome robotic arms and hope for good in future.

Are you ready to fly in a ‘Drone Taxi’ ?

Future is near.

You may be wondering why I say this?

It is because in the previous months you all have heard about the new innovation happening in Dubai.

Yeah, it is the ‘Drone Taxi’.
Drone taxi is going to be our future mode of transportation.

Dubai hopes to have autonomous aerial vehicles or also known as drone taxis flying through its skies as soon as this summer.
Two prominent companies ‘Volocopter’ and ‘Ehang’ is working day and night to fulfill this enormous project.

About company :

Some of you may know these companies before. So for those who don’t, I’ll explain it briefly.

China-based ‘Beijing Yi-Hang Creation Science & Technology Co., Ltd’ Company is well-known for developing a series of UAV’s(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). One among them is Ehang UAV. In 2016 Ehang released ‘Ghostdrone’, which is claimed to be an intelligent drone because we can control it using Ehang Play APP. But for Dubai’s dream project they need a better one. So they created ‘Ehang 184’, it is a smart and eco-friendly autonomous aerial vehicle to provide short or medium distance communication and transportation solutions.

Coming to the next company working on this project is ‘Volocopter’. It is a German based company funded by Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes Benz. Formerly this company was known as ‘eVolo’ working on their VTOL aircraft(Vertical Taking-Off and Landing) projects. For Dubai’s aerial taxi project they introduced their second-generation vehicle ‘Volocopter 2X’.

About drones :

So let’s talk about these vehicles, how they work and their safety measures. Safety should be our priority.

Ehang 184

Ehang claimed Ehang 184 is the world’s first autonomous helicopter drone.
Are you wondering why did they call this futuristic vehicle ‘Ehang 184’?
The name 184 defines the vehicle’s basic attributes; 1 passenger, 8 propellers, and 4 arms.

Ehang 184 Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) has 440 pounds or 200 kg in weight. It can only provide transportation for a single passenger weighing not more than 220 pounds or 100kg. As I mentioned above it is an autonomous helicopter drone, it really looks like a helicopter but instead of a big rotor attached above, it has 4 arms attached to the bottom of the vehicle. At the end of each arm, a pair of rotors is fitted with a total of 8 rotors. The 8 motors present in 184 AAV put out a sum total power of 142HP or 106kW. The 184 will have a 23-minute flight time roughly allowing a 10-mile flight at a speed of 60 MPH or 100Km/Hr and it takes 2-4 hours for charging the vehicle, its enough for day-to-day use.

As a passenger we cannot control the flight of Ehang 184, we are only allowed to choose our destination and relax. Ehang 184 AAV flies in an inverted ‘U’ shape. Take off / Landing points are landing targets with Ehang logo. The arms themselves can be folded up when the vehicle is parked, thereby making it space efficient. Above all of these features, it is eco-friendly too.

Safety measures :

Coming to the safety of 184 AAV, it includes Ehang fail-safe system. Even if the 4 motors in this vehicle fails it can easily land and in the future, they are planning to open remote control center where the occupants can control the 184 AAV at the time of system malfunctions.

Volocopter 2X

So next is a German made ‘Volocopter 2X’. It is an 18-rotor electric cross between a drone and a helicopter. This aircraft is designed to carry 2 passengers. It’s maximum flight time is 27 minutes at an optional cruise speed of 31mph. The company claims 2X can fly at a maximum speed of 62mph. It is powered by 9 lithium-ion battery which takes about 120 minutes to fully charge at a conventional power outlet or 40 minutes in DC fast charging outlet. In 2X the 18 rotors operate in a narrow frequency band, as a result, the human ear can only hear twice as loud as on single rotor, this makes this aircraft quiet compared to others.

Safety measures :

So let’s talk about the safety of Volocopter 2X. This 18-rotorcraft can be piloted, controlled by a remote control, or flown completely autonomously with the help of sensors. Emergency parachute is also available to use in extreme cases. The Volocopter is the first ever fully electric and manned multicopter with a permit to fly. The perfect sustainable alternative mobility solution for the city: Fast, simple and environmentally friendly.

Let’s end

It’s time to conclude now. Both of these companies are working hard to change our concept of day-to-day transportation for the future. Dubai is going to be the first ground for urban air taxi project, but I’m sure it is going to spread worldwide in coming years. Let’s hope for good.
